USAID Administrator Travels to Israel and the West Bank

Ramallah-(BNEWS)- Following her visit to Jordan, USAID Administrator Samantha Power will travel to Israel and the West Bank this week to address the urgent humanitarian crisis in Gaza and advance the U.S. commitment to long term stability in the region.

Administrator Power will discuss the urgent need for expanded access to facilitate the delivery of humanitarian and commercial supplies to civilians in Gaza.

She will also speak with people impacted by the conflict.

During her trip, Administrator Power will also underscore the importance of protecting civilians and aid workers in accordance with international humanitarian law.

The Administrator's visit is her second trip to the region since October 7 and reaffirms the United States’ commitment to supporting the humanitarian response to the crisis in Gaza, accelerating life-saving assistance, and promoting lasting peace, security and freedom for Israelis and Palestinians alike.
